Following. I'm currently sleeping in the nursery with my baby.

IT’s recommended they stay in your room up to a year, with that said we will move babygirl when she outgrows her bassinet probably around 6 months, she is also sleeping through the night.

They recommend to wait 6 months as the risk of SIDS decreases by that age. I personally will be waiting a year.

My baby has been in her own room since 4 weeks! Before she was born I thought it’d be following the recommendation and keep her in our room but we tried it one weekend and she did really well! So we just kept her there 🤷🏻‍♀️ I watch her constantly on my monitor lol I have the Nanit sleep monitor and it’s an app on my phone so my screen time is now averaging 17 hours a day lol

Classes I took said 6 months. That's around the age baby will outgrow the bassinet and will be ready for a crib.

My baby has been in his crib in his nursery since birth. I have peace of mind with the owlet dream sock and camera monitor though

Minimum of 6 months, optimal is around one year.

My baby has been sleeping in her own room since she was 7 weeks and we also have a camera. She sleeps much better than with us in her bassinet. Do what works best for you

My oldest was in my from until about 8m, my second was about 4ish months cause she didn't like the bassinet. We haven't combined my girls into one room yet, so bubs will probably be in our room in his crib. He also doesn't like the bedside bassinet so he's been sleeping in his crib since we brought him home and in our room.

If you’re a heavy sleeper, risk of SIDS is the same regardless. I’m a light sleeper (any noise wakes me) and moved my son at 3 months when he stopped spitting up as much. My daughters room isn’t ready, otherwise she’d already be in it and she’s 7 weeks

@Kate do you have a source for this?

@Aggs no, I’m trying to say even if they’re in the room with you if you’re a heavy sleeper, you won’t hear your baby struggling regardless. Sorry if that doesn’t make sense 😅

I think I’ve heard 6-12 months. My girl is sleeping through the night for the most part now and I mightttt move her to her room at like 4 months. Idk we will see how it goes when I go back to work.

Mine naps in her room, that started at 5 weeks but sleeps in a bassinet in our room at night. I’m terrified of Sid’s so we’re waiting till 6 months. She’s currently 2.5 months

Doctors recommend staying in the same room till 1 year
