Mine is the same. And he’s even worse if he wakes in the car seat. His screams are excruciating!!
I have started to put him on my breast more for feeds (as opposed to expressed milk), and I thinks he doesn’t get as much volume of milk from my breast and is hungrier + wakes up hungry + therefore screaming. I’ve heard that a lot of babies have growth spurts at 4 months and may be hungrier and need to up his milk intake? X
My baby's 3.5 months and been the same this week, waking up from contact naps crying before she's even opened her eyes. She cheers up once she's properly awake if I walk around with her a bit but not sure what's causing it!
I heard that if a baby wakes up crying it typically means something woke them up (wet nappy, nightmare, uncomfy, a noise) before they were finished with their nap. With my little one, if he wakes crying we pick him up and rock him back to sleep to continue the nap, he usually wakes up later much happier xxxx
I’ve put it down to a regression, could be that they are either not quite ready to wake up or they’ve woken up to quick and their head and everything is adjusting to their surroundings
This has started happening to us as well. Not every time but it's so sad when he just starts squealing when he's seemed fast asleep. I'm not sure with him, I think it might be wind 🤷🏼♀️
Following because my son is exactly the same recently??? He’s such a calm happy boy, never cries unless he’s hungry or tired, but he’ll start hysterically crying like he’s in pain before he’s even opened his eyes and will take 5-10 minutes to stop crying. I didn’t know if it was teething or not because it sounds like he’s in pain
