Transverse baby with low lying placenta

Hey ladies, I’m just wondering how many people had a transverse baby + a low lying placenta & if their placenta moved up? Trying to figure out why the likelihood of me having to have little man earlier is. My 32 week scan is next week to check but I am impatient and thought I’d ask if anyone else had a similar experience. If you still had low lying after 32 week scan what happened from there? Do you have more follow ups or?

I did have a low lying placenta throughout my whole pregnancy and I just went for my 32 week scan and it did move up! Good luck mama!

@Jessica thank you - what position is your baby in? Mine hasn’t budged from transverse and my obs made a comment at my last appointment that his like that because there’s no room to go the other way cause of my placenta. So I’m assuming that meant it’s still low lying

I had full placenta previa at 20 weeks, didn’t move at all at 28 weeks, but had moved by 32 week scan! It is still low lying and very close to cervix (so at this point I would still need a c section) , but doctor said it could still move more, so we are going to check again at 36 weeks and make a plan from there. I’m not getting my hopes up, but there is definitely still time.

@Vanessa my baby is head down but they should do a internal sono to check your placenta it tends to move up in the final weeks

I am also asking my doctor questions about if the distance from cervix impacts how safe it is to stay pregnant closer to due date. I am hoping that even if it’s low lying at 36 weeks, they might schedule my c section closer to 38 weeks rather than 37 since it’s not covering my cervix anymore. But it does seem like anything can happen in terms of placenta moving up until around 36 weeks
