How many words is your toddler saying?

Mine says a few words but isn’t mimicking me, saying dada or saying words very clearly. Relatively clearly says “mama” “ball” “snack” “bird” “duck” and maybe a few more. I see so many other children able to say a lot more and much clearer and I’m worried 😟

My almost 16 month says water, cheese and uh oh! She also says mumumumum and dadadada but don't think she's necessarily labelling us yet

I don’t think you need to worry. They are some great words! My eldest didn’t say anything other than mama, up and more until he was 2 and a half and he’s a happy healthy 6 year old chatterbox now. Sounds like they are off to a good start !

My little one says a lot of words and started quite a while ago, but it’s absolutely all swings and roundabouts. I have a group of friends and we all have babies born between May-August and they’re all so so different. The ones who say less have a lot more motor skills down than my little one. They’re all so different and I would say your little one is right where they need to be! 💗

@Leah Natalie that’s really good to hear thank you. I don’t see many babies around his age apart from ones online!

I'd say 30-50 words but I have an older child that didn't say 10 words by 18 months and doesn't stop talking now! They're all so different!
