Breastfeeding trouble while pregnant

Hi everyone! I'm super excited for my second baby but breastfeeding in the first trimester has been awful! I have a two year old that still nurses at night and it's been so painful. Part of me is glad because I was worried I'd lost all sensitivity in my nipples, but I mostly just want to sleep like I used to while my toddler nurses. It's been so painful I need advice or at least to know if this pain will end? Does nursing a toddler get better after the first trimester?

I had also posted about this a few weeks ago, I’m 10 weeks now and the pain does subside. It became only painful for the first latch and couple seconds after and now it’s almost back to normal. I can feel ir getting better though so just hang in there. My little one co sleeps and nurses at night but since the discomfort we’ve been trying to help him sleep through the night. We dropped his night feeds and now he’s only waking up once at night and going back to sleep without nursing, second step will be him sleeping through the night which we’re hoping for before little one is born since we’ll already be sleep deprived lol

Im in the same boat. I was surprised my breasts didn’t hurt this pregnancy like in my first, however that first latch when my 18 month old latches to nurse is sooo painful!! Im struggling to find the balance of wanting to wean her before baby comes but also not wanting to just cut her off cold turkey, especially because it’s a life saver at night!

For me it was extremely painful for a week. Now it hurts right at latch, then the pain fades to be gone. So it gets better! 7w3d
