It did happen a fair bit when my baby was smaller. It didn’t happen so much when I switched to pampers size 0.
My baby was 4lb 13 and we used Tesco size 0 at £1.20 a pack x
I’d say try a different brand as they all fit different, same weight went over to tescos brand once lo started leaking then soon went up to size 1. They say leaking is normally a sign of may need to size up
I tried that also and had a very similar problem!! Try ALDIs nappies and do them super tight. We still change our LO every 3 hours and we still don’t catch every leak x
I used boots size 0 no issues x
Hey did u know that Asda provide free nappies for premature babies at the pharmacy section . You just need to go and ask

We swore by Tesco size 0 nappies for our little one when she was born. She was 4 pounds 7. We thought Pampers size 0 were absolutely awful. Their size 1s were much better when she got big enough to wear them.
I used pampers size 0 for ages for my baby, born at 30 weeks. Sorry, this could be an obvious thing (but I didn’t know it as didn’t get to do any antenatal as so early) - are the frilly bits on the nappy, around the legs, properly outside? Not tucked in. If they are part tucked in the nappy might leak.
My son was born at 4lbs 1oz and was in size 0 Tesco nappies for a while. We still use Tesco nappies as they seem to be really good for us/my son but he's now just in a different size. We would fold over the top of the nappy at the front then do the straps so it was a bit tighter around his waist when he was tiny. I hope that makes sense, if not I'll try to record myself doing it somehow on a teddy or something or take pictures to send you if needed 😄
