Infacol drops

Hey all! Has anyone been advised by their midwife to use Infacol? I’m wondering if I should introduce this to my almost 4w old. There seems to be a lot of chemical colouring in the product so I’m a bit sceptical. Any opinions would be great!

I used it from about 2 weeks old till around 6 weeks no issues but unfortunately didn’t work for us.. but worth a try if you feel comfortable I know how scary it is to try anything with a newborn xx

We used it for a few weeks before I found out the orange flavouring makes his silent reflux worse. It did make burping him a lot easier though. We're now using gripe water instead. I wasn't a big fan of the infacol. It dries like PVA glue and although it's apparently herbal it didn't look it

I found it made my baby worse after Couple times it’s very acidic so it’s not that great on their little tummy’s x

I used it for a couple weeks with my LO, just gave her some drops before the bottle & it really helped.

We use it and burping us better but I think mine has reflux. Trying something else at the coilef… give anything a go. My baby is so unhappy all the time!

We used it for a week or so but found it was making our little girls tummy really upset. She’s actually been better since coming off it! Midwife advised it too!

I usednit from 2 weeks old till she was maybe 13 or 14 weeks. It really helped us with colic. Ours just couldn't burp without it. You've be there 45 minutes trying on and off to burp without it, but with it within 5 minutes you'd get a burp

Works for us to bring up gas but I’ve heard it can make some babies have reflux x

None of our babies did very well on Infacol, and thrived much better on Dentinox if that’s another option for you to use. It seemed to us that it was much less harsh on baby than Infacol or other medication x

I used it when my little one was about 3 weeks and it really helped with winding

Used for a few weeks and it's fine to use (paediatric nurse here )

Helps him with gas but makes him have liquid poos so don't use it unless he's in a lot of pain 🥰

We used for our first was a lifesaver! Started at 2 weeks and used for every milk feed till 6/7 months or so when was having enough food that the gas/reflux didn’t get trapped anymore. Haven’t needed it for our second but will do if needs be.

I used it for my son but didn’t like it… my boy started getting rashes which he had never had before and they stopped as soon as I stopped the infacol, it did work for its intended purpose but I didn’t like the side effects

I didn’t work for us, nor did Dentinox, nor Gaviscon.
