Car seats

My little girl will be 1 on the 5th of December and is starting to outgrow her current car seat ( Nuna pipa urban) We want to get her a new one but not sure what to get. I like the look of the silver cross motion 360 but wanted to get some opinions first. For reference we have an Audi A3 so we don’t want something that’s going to take up most the space for the front seat passenger

I'd definitely have a look at the car safety uk page on Facebook. They will advise on the safest car seat for your budget based on babies centiles. I have the joie 360, and I really don't rate the 360-car seat. Other than ease of putting baby into the car seat, they're really bulky, and due to being installed with isofix they're really easy to install but move very slightly. I'm looking to move to a tethered seat, preferably Swedish plus tested and upto 25/36kg rear facing. So I'd be going for the britax max way or the axkid move.

Personally would t go for a 360 seat, has much lower weight limits and plus silver cross are not a recommended brand due to the poor testing standards. I highly recommend the Britax max safe pro, rear faces to 36kg which is when little one is roughly around 6/7 and then safe to go into a high backed booster. We have the Britax and it’s great, so sturdy and comfy looking. It is more space hungry but if you put your little ones age, height and weight in car seat safety group on Facebook along with the make and model of your car they’ll be able to tell you the best compact seat x

We have the silver cross 360 and really like it 😊

My friend has the Silver Cross seat and there’s lots that’s good about it but it is a bulky seat and takes quite a lot of space in the car. Also you can only use it with the harness until little one is 18kg and then you have to use it as a high-backed booster, but children are often not ready to use a high-backed booster yet by the time they’re 18kg. We went for the Avionaut Sky Q, which is a nice, compact seat and can be used until 25kg/125cm. It’s always best though to try some seats out in your car. You’re close to Car Seat Ninja who would be able to help you to choose a good seat 😊 https://carseatninja.com/

If you want a 360 seat I would atleast go with a joie ispin as joie do extra independent testing on their seats. The silver cross is minimally tested and didn’t actually score that well in testing, it advertises that it did but that’s just because it’s a multi stage seat and they always score much lower. I have a joie ispin 360 and I love it. It scored much higher in safety and my 2.5 loves it x

@Sophie I also recommend the avionaut sky and car seat ninja! I had the grey but after an accident replaced with the mint one 😍 x

Thank you everyone for the advice!
