You shouldn’t feel like crap. Do what is right for you and what is right for your baby. It’s not about breast milk vs formula; the new term is fed is best. I didn’t even try to pump or breastfeed in the hospital and didn’t get any guidance about it because I said as soon as he was born that I was worried more about his health (he had fgr and they had to monitor his glucose for our entire stay). He’s mostly on formula and I was trying to breastfeed once a day (if he gets an ounce from my low supply, it’s a lot). But he’s seven weeks and I decided I’m not breastfeeding anymore because he won’t latch. Guest what— he is thriving. As long as your baby is healthy and safe, he’ll be happy and won’t know the difference. Don’t be so hard on yourself, Mama. You’re doing great! 💙🩵

I understand fully! My supply is slow coming in doctors say it’s because I had c section and had to have my baby early. I go between formula and breast milk. Doing what all I can for my daughter.

@Kelly i was feeding him breast milk fully & then out of nowhere my supply got rlly low :/ i tried everything to get it back up

@Kelly & i had a c section as well

I'm doing the same thing for my boy. He started having problems with my milk and has preferred formula over my milk so I'm weaning pumping and just freezing milk for baths.

I gave up on breastfeeding too. My baby wasn't a good sucker and eventually started refusing to latch and I don't have the time to pump. At first I felt guilty, but seeing how my baby is healthy and happy and I'm not having to deal with all the struggles of breastfeeding, seems like a win win.

I had zero supply and was exclusively formula feeding in the first week, now I barely make enough for one feed a day and rest is formula. Atleast I can sleep at times while others can bottle feed the baby, and he’s gaining weight nicely as well.

@Katrina that’s what i’m doing he’s been combo feeding for almost the last month anyway
