Concerned with my Dr

I’m just about 28 weeks and my Dr. hasn’t even touched me yet. I find this weird. This is not my first child but he is a new Dr to me. He’s an old Dr. This will also be my third child section and after reading I see how much risk that goes along with that. He didn’t seem like it was an issue when I brought it up. I had a D&C this year already and I had to have a blood transfusion, 3 liters at that. I’m starting to get concerned cause now we are talking about life threatening complications that could occur. Anyone else experience not having there Dr check the belly, size, breast or do a physical exam at this point in pregnancy?? I had 2 ultrasounds and they always check the heartbeat.

with my first baby my OB only touched me when i brought up concerns which were later in pregnancy , at 25 weeks with this second baby she still has not really touched me much. i don’t think it’s a concern but your situation seems unique and delicate

Also having this experience but I’m not too concerned. With my first they looked at my breast, and would measure my belly every appointment. They haven’t at all this pregnancy and I’m getting seen by a high risk doctor.

The most my OB does is measure my belly and let me hear the heart beat. He’s never checked my breast during any of my pregnancies

My doctor has only been checking the heart beat at my appointments. But I’ve been thinking it’s so odd that she hasn’t touched me either or measured my belly. I mean isn’t that how they’re supposed to track baby’s growth?? So weird.

That does seem strange. At my first appointment they gave me a breast exam, std testing, vaginal culture. They measure my belly every month and check heartbeat. My clinic has me see different drs every time which I didn’t like at first however I think it might be a good thing they are checking up on each other etc

I'm almost 26 weeks... My OB hasn't touched me other than when our nurse couldn't find the heartbeat he did an ultrasound and found our sons heart beat , he did say that we'll be checking weights on the baby coming up soon and we'll talk about our plan for my tubes to be removed at just 4 weeks pp. I'm sure that there's not much that the ob needs to do until closer to 32 weeks... and I'm high risk

My doctor measure my belly and checks heartbeat. She asked if i wanted to checked down there now or later. I chose later since she asking like that. So me it sounded like it didn't matter to check anytime soon.

Good to know I not the only one. Just seemed so strange to me. This is my first time experiencing this kind of treatment from a dr. This is exactly why I love this app. Thanks ladies! 😘
