I absolutely agree, I've been incredibly lucky to fall into the mum friendships I have, especially given I moved at 3 weeks pp (do not recommend) I've made 2 incredibly close friends, one through here and one as my other half's boss was having a baby just after us but other than that all the groups I've been to were super cliquey and so many people say they'll see you later or another time and then just don't show 🙃 it's so incredibly isolating because unfortunately a partner just doesn't understand the way another mum does! If you need someone else to talk to about your baby's naps feel free to drop me a message 🤣
I feel the same, tbh I feel it more cause I'm foreigner and it feels like they already have their own groups. I feel segregated
12 years in the uk and still I have no close friends. Both post- partum leaves I have been feeling super lonely . As you said , you go to the baby groups and they are already mini groups there and I end up talking to my baby .. it’s really hard …
@Marianna my only close friends are foreigners as well! I'm mexican and my other close friends are: one mexican, one Peruvian and one Jamaican hahaha

Yes feel the same. Already groups forms and I’m sat feeling awkward playing with my baby. Thanks for the post thought I was alone in this x
Haha I agree some of the groups are really clicky and I think people already know each other or go as friends. I don't bother going back to those. You just need to try different ones until you find the more welcoming ones. Then after a few weeks of chatting with the same person, suggest meeting for a coffee/play date sometime. Good luck 🙂
