Pumping/nursing

This might be a funny question, but could somebody explain to me how to bring pumped milk with you for baby when out and about? My baby has been breastfed for 8 months with no use of bottles. I would now like to try to use pumped milk when going out because she gets too distracted to nurse. Do you bring the bottles in a cooler? Then how do you make them warm? If you bring frozen milk how do you defrost? Sorry for all the questions, advice much appreciated!!

We use coolers with ice packs when we go out. I only breastfeed at home, and supplement with formula. So we premake the formula bottles and keep them cold. I decided not to heat up the bottles, because then you have to worry about where the heat source comes from if you’re not in your home. My newborn either drinks room temp or cold (who doesn’t like cold milk? 🤷‍♀️) and he hasn’t had a problem with either. Obviously, it’s preference — but I did it to keep the stress out of already potential stressors like traveling with baby.

Same.. coolers with ice packs. We rarely went out with the kids though but when we did, we'd bring a cup the bottle would fit in and get hot water from somewhere to let it sit in to warm up. If you're gonna do it often, I think there's portable bottle warmers you can buy.

We bring the milk still in the bag in the cooler with ice packs. My baby likes her milk warm, so we also bring a mini thermos with hit water in it. We just warm the milk in the thermos before we put it in the bottle. That way we have everything we need no matter where we are

We take it out the fridge without ice packs if we are just out for a short time, and we have never warmed it, so can’t help with that bit. If we are out for 4+ hours I take the milk with ice packs, but again don’t heat it. If we are using milk from the freezer, I normally defrost it in the fridge first x

i have a dr browns freezer bag. The bag itself is the ice pack and it folds flat for the freezer.

Depends how long the outing is. Usually it was ice packs in a lunch box, then I had a portable bottle warmer that fit the type of bottle I was using. It was good for two bottles but then needed a usb charge. When I wasn’t using the warmer it’d go into the lunchbox.

I have a rucksack which has a cool bag bit. I fill the bottles I need and place two big ice packs in. Keeps the. Fridge cold for ages and I use them to also cool my fresh milk down. When I'm going out for longer then like 6 hours I take a cool box and put the full days amount of bottles in with loads and loads of ice packs in
