Same here, I think it's the sleep deprivation. Newborns are exhausting and being tired makes me cranky

My husband and I have been together for 14 years, he is my best friend and this is the most we have ever fought or bickered. I think part of it is that we are both so tired but also we are both new at this and I think that unknowness and constantly figuring things out has made us both cranky AF. We just keep communicating the best we can and trying to give ourselves and each other some grace.

Same here. I was so resentful of my husband and constantly angry at him. He was also mad at me nonstop. We had many shouting matches in the middle of the night. We had a chat about it and things have been better since. We also started taking communication class together with Kaiser and it has been helpful so far

The best thing we ever did for our relationship was to sleep in different rooms. We hang out watching tv in the bedroom with the baby but my hubby will leave me and baby in the room since I am waking up every few hours to breastfeed. I miss sleeping next to him but he is so much more loving and nicer when he is well rested so I dont fight it lol. When the baby is no longer sleeping next to me is when we plan to sleep in the same room again, but he is the only one waking up early for work while I'm on maternity leave.. If he doesn't get his sleep then he'll be extremely irritiable, but once he gets home is when he takes over the baby and I take a long nap lol. Maybe try different rooms or take turns with naps?

No, you are not, I was constantly mad at him for the first few weeks until we figured out a better sleeping schedule. Now I’m not the only one waking up with her so I’m not resentful, he takes a shift watching her at night so I can get a few hours of sleep and so I’m not sleep deprived. Maybe if you’re breastfeeding try pumping once or twice during the day to get a stash so he can feed the baby at night that way you can get some more sleep, and when it’s his turn at night you don’t have to wake up to feed the baby
