Changing table

Are you still using your changing table for your kiddos? If not what are using in place of said table? Our table is almost too small for my girl but i love the shelving space it has but once she too big i don’t see how to justify keeping the table.

We’ve always used the floor or bed or couch. We’ve never used a table

I wonder this all the time. We used to put the kids on their dresser with a changing pad there and downstairs had a pack n play with a changing table built in. But i think the pack and play changing table was kinda flimsy and might have had a 25lb limit (my son is like 30lbs now, he’s kinda big for his age). I still have the changing pad on his dresser but I really never use it. We got a sturdier but smaller changing table with two shelves under that we put in our dinning room (just because it’s where we had space to shove it, I’d obviously shove it somewhere else if we had company). It was like $50 on amazon. I’d probably keep using it until they’re out of diapers. I still put my 2.5 yr old daughter on there too. After baths though I just do everything right on the bathroom floor and even changing outfits just do it on the floor these days because they’re usually standing when I change their clothes these days. Just use the table for diapers. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Not gonna lie. I used a changing table for a week after my son was out of the hospital. But aside from that, I don’t. The floor, the bed, the couch, his stroller. (His stroller lays fully flat) that changing table is terrible.

@Laura we had the pack n play w/changing table too she out grew that but it took up too much space so we only use the pack n play for when we travel. Maybe I’ll look into something smaller. I’m also looking to get a bookshelf in her room too

We stopped using the changing table as soon as my son could flip over or stand on his own. I learned early that it’s easier to change a squirmy toddler standing, looking at themselves in the mirror than to fight that battle. Learn to change them standing up is my recommendation!

Following. We still use our changing table, mostly because of the storage.

Yes we do - but I use it horizontally rather than vertically

We just switched from the changing table to a changing pad on top of a dresser last week! We just kept an eye on Facebook Marketplace until we found a dresser that was about the same height and was something he could use for years to come. We religiously use our changing table, I don’t understand how people don’t 🤣

@Anna oh i use it all the time when we’re upstairs🤣 but we’re inching closer to she won’t fit much longer

Bed, floor, couch. Sometimes i put a small changing pad under her

I have a changing pad that I use. I've never had a table

We just used a dresser with a changing pad on top of it. Still use it for our 19 month old son exclusively when at home and have started to use one with the same set up for our 2 month old but we change our 2 month old on the couch as well.

The floor lol 😂

Once my baby outgrew the height and weight on the pack n play changing table I just used my bed instead. Either have a towel or waterproof pad down.

@Cristal i change my toddler the same way standing...so much easier

I've never used a changing table for my toddler. Bed, floor, whatever's convenient and nearby. We had a changing pad on top of a dresser for my older son when he was a baby but once he outgrew it we switched to doing the same, and we just never really ended up using it for my younger son
