Breastfeeding/ expressing advice

They do say wait 4/6 weeks, I’m 3 weeks in and considering starting now xx

I think they say to wait until 6 weeks to avoid nipple confusion and for breastfeeding to be fully established. When we introduced a bottle of expressed milk to my daughter, I had a battle getting her to breastfeed the next time as it was harder work for her than bottle feeding. But it's entirely up to you.. look up paced feeding if you do want to bottle feed, part of where we went wrong was we didn't do that x

My baby was born prematurely so I had to express straight away. at 35 weeks gestation he started breastfeeding, he’s now 9 weeks old and having 2 bottles of EBM at night time and managing the transition from breast to bottle absolutely amazingly! He did initially struggle to latch on after the first couple of bottles but got back on track quickly and now is a pro!
