Ovarian cysts
Does anyone have any experience with dermoid ovarian cysts?
I had scans before pregnancy on my ovaries and this cyst wasn’t found, during my c section and a later ct scan it’s become apparent i have a 3cm cyst.
My periods since giving birth have been horrifically painful and very heavy, is this just pp periods or could the cyst be causing some of this?
My doctor doesn’t seem concerned about it 🙃

I have had 2 one on each ovary and I found them very painful and gave me pregnancy like symptoms as well, had to have both of them removed
I had two cyst on the same ovary a year ago and the pain was so bad one even ruptured but I never needed them removed they slowly disappeared by themselves. I did research how to help them shrink and apparently castor oil pack helps. I did them but I don’t know if that’s what really worked for me or they just went on their own but I believe is worth a try!

Yes - I had a 10cm dermoid cyst removed off my ovary and my ovary reconstructed. Since then become pregnant twice :) . Have had other recurring cysts since then but was told by gynae consultant if 3cm or less then they'd leave them. Is it your GP or gynae consultant who doesn't seem concerned? Im sorry to hear you're struggling.
