Morning sickness

Hey! I’m 10+3 and the morning sickness is really getting me down at the moment. I’m suffering badly all day, everyday. It’s starting to affect work! Wondering if anyone else is in same boat and what they are doing to help? I’ve done all the things google suggests and pharmacy have said there’s nothing they can do. :(

I had this with my pregnancy, you have to keep ringing gp and telling them how much it’s affecting things. Also look up pregnancy sickness support, they are a charity and will have some recommendations

I’ve been struggling with the sickness horrendously for weeks now it’s awful! I went to the GP and they prescribed me 2 antisickness that I was on with my first pregnancy and it seems to help a bit and take the edge off. I can’t remember the name but there is one they can prescribe that dissolves in your gum rather than swallowing it if that’s an issue for you. I know not e everyone is into medicine when pregnant but it’s definitely worth it in my opinion. So I’d 100% contact GP and ask them to give you something. Also remember if you can’t keep fluids down for 24 hours or food down for 48 then they recommend going to A&E. I hope things get better for you lovely and good luck with the rest of your pregnancy! Xx

I 2nd pregnancy support charity - I was dismissed my first pregnancy and had debilitating sickness well into the second trimester. There are medications that you can try (they go into detail on the charity website) and continue to push and advocate for yourself. I was told I was putting my baby at risk with the medications but you can see the research on the charity website that this isnt the case! Hang in there x

Thankyou everyone for the help! I shall try these x

Also try and get xonvea prescribed. Lots of drs not heard of it and it’s hard to get a hold of but definitely took the edge off for me! It’s the only anti sickness medication that has been made specifically for morning sickness

Sparkling water. It was the only thing that allowed me to work for 2 months
