Bottle of formula- EBF

My little one just turned 8 months and before bed they have been getting a bottle of my expressed milk before bed . However, over the last few weeks my body doesn’t seem to be responding to pumping and I’ve used my freezer stash . I’m thinking to buy some goats milk formula today and do this for the bottle instead whilst I build up my supply and stash again. For those that have already done this, how many ml are you giving? As per the back of the tin it says 210ml but that seems like a lot when they have only been getting about 120ml of BM. Any advice welcome. Thanks!

I think you do have to give more of the formula because our breast milk changes its calorie content based on what baby needs as they grow but can stay the same amount if that makes sense whereas formula is the same always so I’d go by what they say on the tin and if they keep leaving some in the bottle then you can give a bit less next time!

It’s hit or miss, my little boy doesn’t follow the guidelines. He has roughly 120/150 each feed but is still healthy and happy. Like Beth said just do the 210 and see how baby gets along

Thanks ladies! I’ve just realised that our bottles only go to 5oz so I will start with that and if they are asking for more do another bottle, so much to take into consideration 😆
