Hip pain!!! 😖

I'm at the point where I'm definitely calling my OB tomorrow, but is anyone else experiencing sharp pain?? Or what should I do about it? It feels like it's at the joint of where my hips meet my thighs, and it hurts to go from sitting to standing. I had to hobble to get to the bathroom just now. I'm thinking I could try supplementing with calcium, but does anything else help? Should I go on more walks or would that make the pain worse?

Ligament pain? Maybe go to a chiropractor. Calcium won't help the pain. I've heard that a lot of women get relief from chiropractic care during pregnancy....or try stretches and light exercising.

I have had this problem since my first child and I struggle with it after birth and even now during pregnancy I’m not sure what it is but it hurts like hell

@Jen even AFTER birth?? 😳 everything i read said the pain goes away once you give birth. Omg i can't imagine, ugh so sorry 😞

@Amber my logic with calcium was because my symptoms seemed similar to pregnancy osteoporosis, which said was due to calcium deficiency. But you could be right because that's supposed to be rare, I'm currently trying to stretch but yesterday I caused more pain doing so. But I haven't considered a chiropractor, that would be great!

Yes, I started getting hip pain the other day, and it hurts so bad! Had to limp my way through the day. I'm trying to sit and rest more as it gets worse the longer I'm up doing stuff. Heat pack helps, and ice when it was really bad. I found some pelvic floor yoga moves for hip/back pain, and it actually felt pretty good after stretching last night. We'll see how it feels today. But yeah, heat pack to the rescue!

try getting a belly band that helped with my hip pain but yes unfortunately it is normal & your OB won’t be much help

Yes I also worked in retail during and after my pregnancy and did long hours so that might have made it worse 😥 I’m currently at a desk job now but still struggle with the pain if I walk too much or lay down it gets stiff

Sounds like SPD, pubic symphisis dysfunction. You could try some easy, gentle exercises for it as well as wearing a maternity support brace or band. Your OB might have other recommendations as well.

I have been the way too. My left leg even tried to give out on me.... I thought I had just slept wrong but i will say I had Braxton Hicks for like 3 hours the day before so I wasn't sure what was up... My round ligament also acts up on the left too... I would definitely try warm bath to see if that helps any sometimes that helps me but stretching lightly could help too.

I did. Went to OB. My pain lasted from a Monday to Friday. OB ordered an ultrasound on my appendix but all is well. Guess it comes with pregnancy
