Breast / pumping feeding and supply decreasing.

Hey my baby is 5 months and we are exclusively breastfeeding/ pumping feeding and I noticed this past day that my milk supply is decreasing. Have you noticed this? How I can get my supply back? I’m drinking tea and sometimes power pumping

This sounds weird but I just started drinking a glass of powdered Gatorade before bed (not for breast feeding, but because I was weirdly craving it). Ever since then I started have an over supply, literally leaking again and engorged. It might be the electrolytes, so maybe powdered Gatorade or liquid IV?

You can also try changing the pump parts .. sometimes when those become loose, the suck won’t be as strong. I like to drink IVs every once in a while and also coconut water

Ya changing the pump parts helped me out with my first. I couldn't believe how that worked. But I do like the Gatorade idea. Staying hydrated and rested is part of it also.

I’m an exclusive pumper as well and I’ve noticed the same thing. Coconut water and electrolytes work wonders. Stress also plays a role. I’ve been super stressed lately and i noticed that has affected my supply 4.5 months postpartum. They also say if your period is coming back that can do it too. I’m also feeling like I want to stop bc it’s doing me in mentally. 😪

I noticed too, working so hard to have more. 🥹🥹 I am drinking none alcoholic beer. Yeast helps as well, but I hate the taste.

Thank you much y’all all! I changed my pump parts and drinking lots of coconut water and electrolytes. 🤞🏻
