Car seat chest clip

My daughter managed to squeeze out of the car seat today while I was driving 😫 So scary!!! Luckily it was 5mins away from home and she got out one side only 😫 Are chest clips recommended?? Can anyone recommend one that’s good /safe??

Do you have a photo of little one in her seat? If she’s getting out she’s probably not fitted correctly in her seat x

Yeah a photo is the first call, if it still happens after that. The be safe belt collector x

She’s not done this before, so I am thinking maybe I didn’t tighten it enough. It was a bit of a battle getting her in the car. Just worried as I am due a long drive soon 😫

@Sarrah the straps might just need to be raised a little and made sure they’re close to her neck , only way to tell is by a photo of her strapped in x

As others have said most likely a fit issue, if she’s rear facing the harness needs to come out of the seat level or a tiny bit below her shoulders and shoulder pads are close to her neck x

There is a FB group u could send photo to for the fit check. Just need baby's height and weight. They are very good. I don't think chest clips are safe unless it came with Ur car seat. Xx

The best and only chest clip that should be used in uk is the be safe belt collector as it is crash tested

@Lisa please don’t order life saving items from Temu. The only crash tested clip is the Besafe belt collector but in most cases getting arms out is a fit issue xx
