Advice about weaning onto Cows Milk

My baby will be 12 months old in November and I want to start weaning her onto Cows Milk. I have read lots of stories that scare me about this next step. Should I wait longer to start the process? Also where do I begin?

I personally wouldn’t transition before 12 months as it’s pretty rough on babies tummies, it’s nowhere near as filling as formula and it doesn’t contain the nutrients a baby needs before 12 months. How well does baby eat solids? They don’t actually need milk at all after 12 months as long as they eat a balanced diet and have calcium in other forms such as yoghurt cheese etc x

My little boy has cows milk in his cereal so is kinda used to it so what I've been doing is each bottle I do 6oz of formula and 2oz of cows milk just to get his wee belly used to it x

I’m doing same with my current lo as I did with his older brother 9 years ago. Have used cows milk in cooking for pancakes etc and on cereal as part of weaning and then at 1 years old I will just stop the formula and gave cows milk to drink. As I used it in cooking etc my eldest he didn’t even notice the switch 🤣
