Postpartum pads/knickers

I’m packing my hospital bag and I am unsure which ones the most comfortable option: Maternity pads with cotton panties or maternity pads with disposable panties or just adult diapers? And which brands to go for in pads and disposable panties?

I just had big full brief knickers and maternity pads with my first x

Also gone with black full brief knickers and maternity pads, Lil Lets maternity pads and supermarket own brand one's.

I spoke to my midwife about this today she suggested pads (instead of adult diapers) for directly after birth so you can frequently change it and monitor for any bleeding

I found the adult diapers were wayyyy better after birth. The pads leaked because of the volume and like people said you had to constantly change them and I mean constantly. Sleeping with a leaking pad isn’t fun.

I preferred pads so I could check how much bleeding I had (I stayed in hospital for a week with my first) and they asked me how the bleeding was every time they came to do obs. However the adult nappies are GREAT if your waters break as they continually leak until you give birth

I used the pad style pants, I got home bargains version of the always discreet this time. I then put a maternity pad inside them, sounds a lot but it just made me feel very secure haha x
