Mine son will be 1 tomorrow, he is also super clingy to me lately!
My son doesn’t need me to hold him, but he does cry when I leave and enter a room. I try to engage him in a game or get someone else to hold and play with him when I leave. He only cries for about a minute and then goes back to being comforted and eventually playing. He definitely knows when I am in the room even if I am not looking at him. I think he can still smell me.
@Coral Lol I think they really can smell us though that’s hilarious you said that I’ve said this to my son. It’s like he can smell me before he sees me feel my energy or something lol

Im in the same situation my daughter turned 1 on October 8 and she is just super attached to me.
Yep !!! I have a son! Honey don’t worry u don’t have to be on the pills … my son cry’s and want to be cuddled by me even in the middle of the night ! 😒😒😒!!!
The only thing that helps me is putting him in a baby carrier where he’s on my back! Keeps him happy and I can focus and maintain some sanity for a little while 😅
I'm experiencing this as well. My son is 11 months old. What is happening is that baby is becoming more and more self aware, and looks for you. He loves you and now is also the time where their vision is complete and they can see what you see. If I have to leave the room briefly I kinda try and tune out the whining but if I have something to do, worst case I put him in a carrier and just baby wear him.
@Noelle thankfully not pregnant i make sure of that I take even farther step to ensure is been pills they have multiple benefits as well as make you temporarily infertile while taking them I do strongly recommend for those who are don’t want to get pregnant again rn we are still really fertile

Oh and he also started throwing tantrums when he can’t have something he wants what’s The best way to get him out of that too and his tantrum

Our sons have the same birthday and yes any time we aren’t exactly engaged with him he wants in what we are doing. It’s normal. I do try to not pick him up every time and make him wait.
Omg this happened to me too. My twins were born Oct 6 and my son is a stage 5 clinger. Makes it really difficult for my nanny and I feel so bad. I think it’s just a phase but a difficult one.
