Breast milk supply

I gave birth via c section over a week ago. My section was difficult and I was having difficulty breathing and very bad trembling afterwards so I had to formula feed my baby. I couldn't even do skin to skin. Now I want to breast feed but I don't seem to produce enough milk! I try to pump and can't get more than 20-30ml. Anyone has tips to increase supply? I am drinking alot of water, eating well etc but it's quite frustrating.

Do as much skin to skin as possible, I was advised at antenatal this supports milk supply x

Keep putting baby to breast. It’s supply and demand - the more your baby drinks, the more you will produce. Also speak to your community midwives, they should be able to provide more advice!

How old is baby? 20-30 MLS per day or every pump? Lots of skin to skin. Double pumping every three hours. Baby to breast as much as possible. Consider an SNS for feeding to help baby come to the breast and stimulate the breast to produce.

This also happened to me, reach out to your breastfeeding specialists in your local community who will help you! Power pumping is great way also to make the body believe your baby wants more milk to help increase that supply My friend got prescribed some medication to help increase supply which she spoke wonders off so I tried to also get it prescribed but two doctor refused to give it to me (just so you know they won’t give it to everyone) so maybe try ringing your local GP, but they will also reach out to your feeding specialist to make sure you’ve tried the natural methods firsts so it’s important you speak to them also. Don’t give it, you will get there ☺️

Mine was planned and my supply came in about day 5 randomly. I didn't do anything to make it come in, just tried pumping once each day, and on day 5 my breasts went hard and milk came out. Hopefully yours will come in soon, it's very common
