Nonstop spit up

Baby girl is now 7 months old and we are still dealing with regular spit up. This isn’t just a dribble, it’s a large amount. She doesn’t seem to be bothered by it, but I’m kind of at my wit’s end. The doctor prescribed Pepcid which she has been taking twice daily for months. We’ve tried all different kinds of formula. She’s currently on a hypoallergenic and the spit up has actually ramped up. The only thing I haven’t tried is goat’s milk formula. Any suggestions? Did any of you experience this? I’m so tired of constantly smelling like curdled milk.

My kid was like this, couldn't go anywhere without a receiving blanket because of it. We tried everything and had no success. He just grew out of it on his own around 8 months old when his solids intake increased so I have no solutions only solidarity. He rarely spits up now, he's down to formula 2 bottles a day (one in the morning, one at night) plus 2 meals, a snack, and a cows milk bottle before naps at 10.5 months

@Isabella yeah I getcha. We were doing everything we could and had been talking to drs but everyone felt the need to bitches bout "oh he shouldn't be spitting up that much what's wrong with him why aren't you dealing with this" and I have to be like we are, we have been, that's just how he is, were doing everything we can but it's just how he is right now. I was the same as a baby apparently though, so it might just be genetic. Idk

Ugh same at 6 months. I felt like it was better for a few weeks then it ramped up again.

I had the same.. i was over feeding my son. I dropped two bottles (totalling 7 oz) and it was fine x

Same here what helped is changing to hypo allergenic formula. It was life changing and also the amount. Some babies prefer smaller quantities more often etc so maybe that’s something you could try… also probiotics drops in the AM helped as well

Might be a long shot but have you tried switching bottles or flow speed of nipple? My son started spitting up (but ours was all of a sudden, on the same formula he usually had) and a faster flow helped us. I’ve heard from others a slower speed helped.

Yup! Same here, tried everything then just realized we have to roll with it. And then one day, it just slowly stops and before you know it, it doesn’t happen anymore! My son will be one tomorrow and I honestly don’t even remember when it stopped 🤷🏻‍♀️ but the pediatrician said some kids are just like that and they will grow out of it! And it’s true 😊

Mine had reflux so it was regular. It slowly stopped the more she learned to sit up and started standing.
