Skills lost?

I had to send my son to daycare due to both my husband and I needing to work. Prior to daycare (maybe like two weeks before),my son started rolling, got both sides down. Hes been in daycare for three weeks now, and hasn’t rolled since. I’ve asked the daycare if he’s rolled and they said no. I’m really concerned. Is it normal for kids to stop doing things they learned due to stress or a change in environment? What should I do?

How old is he? My baby learned to roll and then stopped for a few weeks before starting again xx

Six months and like a lil over a week?

Babies will stop skills they've learned when they start to try new skills. It will come back.

My little boy rolled quite a bit for a short period of time then completely stopped and didn't do it again for weeks and weeks. No change of environment or anything, was just like he'd proved he could do it then got bored or something! He's just started doing it again now so he definitely still can, maybe its just normal 🤷🏼‍♀️

Babies take their time. Take it easy moms and enjoy every moment with them 💕

Our LO started rolling and we got excited, she did it for a couple of days front to back, but then stopped completely for weeks. Now, she’s rolling more consistently back to front and starting to figure out front to back again. It will take time and come!

I would keep an eye on him, encourage rolling at home, and bring it up with a GP, Paed, or Health Nurse when you can.
