Exhausted/overwhelmed

I’m currently 27 weeks and I feel so so exhausted, drained and overwhelmed and the idea of having 13 weeks left is really hard for me. I am so grateful to be growing my little girl who is our rainbow baby and I love feeling her move, seeing her grow etc. but I am also really struggling physically with working full time along side being pregnant. Is anyone else feeling this way? Just feel so awful for even sharing this, but I am still so grateful but just getting uncomfortable and overwhelmed now 🥲 please can someone just tell me I’m not alone 🤣

Hey hun! I'm feeling the exact same. The whole pregnancy I've just felt like an alien has invaded my body. Pregnancy is tough physically and mentally. You got this girl 🤰

26 weeks tomorrow and I feel exactly the same! It's hard hard work and all you can do is be kind to yourself 🧡

I keep feeling emotional with only having 13 weeks left with just me and my first baby it’s flying by but I also can’t wait to not be pregnant because I’ve found it so much harder this time around!

Same 😮‍💨 add a busy work schedule and a v active toddler (he’s just turned 2!) + pregnancy insomnia and I’m not quite sure how I’m functioning 🧟‍♀️ Take it easy.

Yep I feel the same. Very grateful but very much so tired and exhausted. Ready to fast forward 15 weeks and for my body back. My constipation is horrendous (sorry to be explicit). But we got this girl, we got this!!!

I am exactly the same; 26 weeks in a really stressful and full on job, and completely exhausted. Getting more and more uncomfortable as the weeks go by and overwhelmed the the amount of work I have. I wish I could avoid the stress but I can’t!

Yeah pregnancy is so hard without factoring in a full time job. Are you in a position where you could reduce your hours or condense them? When I first told my employer they did say I could do this due to hyperemesis (e.g work only afternoons) but I’ve actually been off the whole pregnancy. Or are you in a position you could start maternity leave early? Or even take time off sick? Xx

Total feels, thank you for sharing. It’s good to know it’s not just me 💕

@Laura I am thinking of speaking to my midwife to see if she could write me a note to reduce my hours. I am working until beginning of December where I have take my leave before starting maternity leave in January but because maternity pay is so rubbish, I can’t really start that sooner than Christmas 🥲

Thank you all! I’m glad I’m not alone, it’s so hard but we’ve got this ❤️

Hopefully you can sort something out! Xx

I am 28 weeks and was feeling the same, I’ve just managed to stop doing my 12hr nightshifts so that’s given me such a boost! Still working full time but just early shifts to help get me into a routine, it’s definitely helped ease the pressure☺️

You can get a medical note from your GP - this works as well for your employer.

You’re definitely not alone! I’m 28 weeks also growing our little girl who’s our rainbow baby. I also love feeling her move and watching her grow but definitely struggling on the physical side whilst working full time. Back and groin pain constantly and struggling to get up the stairs. It’s hard work growing a little one but I’m sure we’ll all forget about it when they’re here 🤍 we’ve got this 💪🏼

@Emma literally!🤣 pelvic pain is getting me down Because I’m struggling to do things I enjoy like taking the dog out for walks but yeah like you said we will forget all about this when they’re here and it’s all so very worth it 🤍
