Window to the womb

I can get a gender scan as I am 15 weeks but I just want to know how accurate they are at this stage as most places don’t scan you until 16weeks?

I’m not sure where you are but I know in America they won’t do gender scans till like 18-20 weeks. But they will do the blood test at 10-11 weeks that is like 97% accurate.

I had mine at 15+3 and regular growth scans through nhs and they’ve all agreed on same gender xx

@Caroline Cox I’m in Scotland so you can get scanned from 15 weeks, most places start at 16 weeks tho that’s why I’m a bit scared to go at 15 x

We had ours at 16 weeks and was accurate

@Keira just nervous I get told the wrong gender but desperate to find out 🤣x

That’s exciting do you have a feeling of what you think the gender is? I was wrong both times lol I think I really wanted a girl so I convinced myself my boys were girl lol. But I love being a boy mom. ❤️

@Khira Oh don’t worry, I had such gender disappointment at the beginning that I refused to believe it or purchase anything other than neutral until the 20w scan also confirmed it🤣 I say book it, it’s a nice between scan to see the little bean regardless 🤗😘x

@Caroline Cox I have a feeling it’s a boy but all the nub theory’s are coming back girl🤣 I already have a little girl so I think I’m just desperate for a boy x

@Keira this is true, I probably wouldn’t buy colours until the 20 week scan has been done anyways x

Had my gender scan with them on 16 weeks on the dot! They were correct :)

Boys are feral. My toddler boy will climb the tallest pieces of furniture in my house to get my attention and jump. And he likes to spin in circles until he falls over. But let me tell ya being a boy mom is the best thing in my life over ever done. I love my boys so much.

We went at 15 weeks 4 days and it was clear as day 🫣😂

I’ve seen so many things of window to the womb getting it wrong and it put me off

I got mine at 15 weeks, then reconfirmed gender at 20 week scan x

I had mine at 15 weeks on the dot, and was correct :) had it reconfirmed at 20 week scan, and then again at a later scan😂x

I used to work at window to the womb and had my gender scan at 15w4d also and they defo saw it was a little boy, usually the sonographers will get you to go on a walk, get baby moving in some possible way and as a last resort let you come back in another day for a free rescan to try again. Unless they can be 99.9% sure they usually won’t say just incase x
