@Priscilla Breast milk continues to provide good nutrition and immune protection after a year old - alongside that, it can also provide her LO a good source of profound comfort and security. Xx
@Rhi I think you missed what I was saying......she's not under 6 months where there really isn't other options for her.....again not relying solely on breastmilk
@Priscilla Yes sorry, my mistake! :)
@Rhi yea the longest I nursed was 18 months currently on an 8 month streak with my baby now My first was 6 months then I pumped for another 8 months til she was 14months my daughter didn't want boob after 6 months lol my boys never wanna stop lol
At one years old they can just nurse when with you and go without when apart.
My little one has CMPA, is 10 months and at nursery. He has only been breastfed. He will drink milk out of a sippy cup and I express and send it with each day. I send about 100-120ml for a 6 hour day at nursery and he will usually drink most of it, if not he drinks water and feeds at home with no issues. If I’m honest he could go the day without the milk and just drink water and be fine. I did practice a bit with him at home, found if I fed him solely on one boob I could pump the other more successfully and that has worked well. Now I pump in the afternoon before picking him up when feeling a bit full and that’s working well. I didn’t have much of a stash before he started and still don’t but he is doing well with what we are doing.
At a year, she doesn't need to take a bottle. Try sippy cups or open cups of breast milk or cow's milk alternatives. I think pea protein milk is quite nutritious but there are many other options. Even just sending her with water will be fine, assuming she's eating solids as well. She'll make up for being away from you at night and on your days off with her.
Their are other non dairy options and at 1yrs old she is no longer nutritionally relying on breastmilk She's eating solids good?
