I went in thinking I was 7 weeks with my first and they dated me 6 +4, by the 12 week dating scan baby had caught back up ☺️ it’s another reason they do the scan at about 12 weeks as they all hit about the same size at that point, did you see the heartbeat? X

@Megan yes we saw a heart beat but they didn’t measure heart rate. It means I tested positive at 7DPO which seems unlikely

Heart beats a great start there that brings your success rate up so much, just like when they are bigger they will grow at their pace, and these scans are not always spot on with measurements, they might be gearing up for a growth spurt ! Stay calm and keep going let your body do the work ☺️

My daughter measured 5 days behind at scans, then came just before her due date totally healthy 🥰

@Megan thank you! It wasn’t an internal scan which I was thinking might have affected measurements when they’re so fiddly

@Laura thank you!

Honest even when the baby’s bigger and having growth scans they can be so far off! They said Arthur was going to be 10lbs and he came out 7 1/2 so when they are as tiny as a seed they might be a tad off 🙂

Hi, I’m having an IVF pregnancy so my dates are very accurate. In really early pregnancy a scan could be a couple of days behind because everything is so small slight movement by the nurse when using the scanner could alter the measurement by a mm or two which would change the date by a day or two, so I really wouldn’t worry about it
