Pumping, BF & Formula
I started combi feeding my 3 week old formula and breastmilk as he wasn’t waking for food. I’ve been feeling really low with breastfeeding due to low supply and pain. I’d like to start pumping to ease the pain.
Would it be okay to pump during the day while baby gets formula and breastfeed once in the morning, once at night then during the night, give formula?

@Emma Thanks for sharing. I think I’ve fallen for this trap. Not sure how to amend it and my nipples are in so much pain it makes me feel really low
Could you maybe hand express you’re not actually touching your nipple as much? X

Hi mom, If you would like to combo feed and still want to keep your maternal breastfeed volume up it’s important to express at your baby feed times speacially when you are giving formula. It’s very crucial to express at night so my suggestion is to express sync with every time baby would feed even at night time. Breastfeeding practitioner
