You can get them more frequently if you’re tired or stressed too. I’m 33+2 and on Sunday we’d been rushing around all day starting decorating the nursery and in the evening I had loads of really uncomfortable ones! I rested that evening and the next day and haven’t really had many since. Just make sure your not overdoing it and make time to rest, if your worried always call triage xx
I have braxton hicks so much - never had with my first. Iv been having them since 20 weeks too and they have increased over time. No period pain yet though so maybe worth calling midwife to see if they would want to check you over.
If you are concerned then definitely get checked out and they can tell you if it's Braxton hicks or real contractions. My mucus plug didn't come out until I was well into labour and my waters didn't break until baby was literally about to pop out with my first so it's not an indicator that you aren't in labour!
They do get more frequent as you get further along and I do find them painful now as well, not as bad as contractions but definitely come with cramping etc it’s normal at this stage xx
