How often do your breast fed babies feed?

My baby feeds every hour to 2 hours, only time she goes over two hours is usually if she’s asleep. I’ve read somewhere that at 2 months they’ll be feeding every 3-4 hours. I’m worried maybe she’s not getting full / enough milk at each feed so is feeding more frequently? Anyone else’s babies feeding all the time?

Same here. Sometimes even 1.5 hours 😬

My LO feeds every 2-3 hours and has my expressed milk in a bottle and takes between 3-5 oz at a time. I think 2 or 3 times we have got to 4 hours. I know breastmilk is easier to digest, but I feel as soon as she settles down, as she has reflux so have to keep her upright for at least 30 mins after, she wants feeding again so the process starts again

Same here. We only get 2 hour sleep stretches during the night at the most. My boy is almost 15 pounds at 6 weeks and just wants to feed all the time 😅

Mine has some long naps at the moment but the rest of the time she feeds frequently. She has reflux so I’d rather give her her meals in smaller bits if that makes sense.

We’re exactly the same. My LO was 2 months yesterday and when awake, goes about 2 hours in between feeds. The only time really she goes longer is when she’s asleep

I highly recommend the below read - it’s so helpful and educational in understanding feeding intervals. https://www.unicef.org.uk/babyfriendly/breastfeeding-the-dangerous-obsession-with-the-infant-feeding-interval/

Mine EBF LO does really well at night at the moment and will do a 6/7 hour stretch of sleep (which I fell very lucky to get as my other babies were every hour or two for months and months) but during the day I couldn’t say what the gap is between feds as she is on and off the boob all day long to the point where I don’t think there is a gap. 😅😂

Sometimes she’s feeds hourly in the day. She’s 10 weeks old and then does slightly longer stretches overnight. She’ll take exactly the amount she needs per feed, try to remember that hunger is not a linear thing. We aren’t hungry every two hours sometimes we’re ravenous (all the time for me) and sometimes we’ll go longer ☺️

My guy is 8 weeks and feeding every 2-3 hours. The only time he goes longer is overnight.

As long as they are happy and healthy, so weight gain is good, wet and dirty nappies regularly I really wouldn't stress about how often they feed. That's the whole point of responsive feeding, it's not about a schedule.

All the flipping time! Also never goes more than an hr really unless asleep (which she is not a fan of in day time) she has one ff early afternoon and will usually go 2hrs then, and has a ff top up before bed top before her long night stint). She is v slow growing and has all kinds of oral issues (high palate, lip ties) so not the best at milk transfer which is probably why she is feeding so often. It's hard work isn't it?!
