My family's dining room, kitchen, and family room are connected without any walls between them. When we are eating, my baby is in her swing or her bouncer unless she's having a bottle. If we are at extended family's homes during dinner, someone will hold her. I also don't mind eating while holding her every once in a while if I need to.
Wouldn't get them imo they're a waste of money as lowri said. My LG was in her moses basket or bouncer swing.
We have the maxi cosi nova from birth high chair (I got it cheap on Marketplace). For me personally, the from birth attachment was great. When I was cooking, I'd have her in it chatting with her about what I was doing and such, or when I was washing bottles, and she would babble away with me. Her bouncer was too low down for use in the kitchen, in my opinion. x
You will not need high chair until 4months at least , most probably baby will be sleeping when you eat , I had next to me bed on the weals as we live in the flat baby was traveling in the bed everywhere with me , my girl did not like rocker and bouncer till she turn 3 months , and would stay there maximum of 10 min. You will figure out when the baby comes .. :)
We’ve used a high chair since newborn. When he wanted to sleep whilst we were eating if the Moses basket was upstairs we used it! Although we have the maxi cosi one and will say don’t bother getting that one my baby screams everytime going in it😭😭so now won’t go in the high chair and he’s 6 months old. It was great for us though as newborn as I could still be downstairs cleaning or doing whatever I needed to do whilst he was sleeping near me xx
He used to wake up whenever I decided to eat. Hes always watched us eat which I personally think it’ll help when weaning because they’re watching what you’re doing x
We got the Maxi Cosi Minla and honestly hardly ever used it when baby was small, it was easier to put him down in his snuzbaskit or he was in the sling/wrap. When we started weaning it was useless as it's fabric and I was having to wash it every day! Personally I'd wait and buy a high chair when baby starts weaning x
Just realised I said maxi cosi when I meant tutti bambini 🤦♀️ Baby brain? 😅
I got the stokkke Tripp Trapp and got the newborn attachment. It has been working great for us and it was nice to have a raised spot to put the baby in while cooking or while we were eating dinner. The Tripp Trapp is pretty expensive but I see them posted a lot on fb marketplace
Hey! I personally wouldn’t bother with those type of highchairs as I found it not practical for actually weaning so a bit of a waste of money. When my lo was newborn we had him in his Moses basket for meals ect so he was still flat on his back but we could move it up to the table when we ate x
