Preschool/school mum guilt - anyone else?!

My daughter started preschool in Sept and it was essential to secure her place in school as places are difficult to get at her school. But my mum guilt just isn’t easing!! I’m a SAHM and she’s there 730-1230. I just miss her so, so much and she enjoys it but tells me all the time that “it isn’t as fun as being with you mummy”. Does the guilt get better?! 😭

Yes the guilt goes ☺️ when you are confident she's well cared for and you know deep in your heart that she has a lovely time there and is learning so many things and this is the best thing for her.... you stop feeling guilty.

@Ella I hope so! I picked her up today and she didn’t want to leave so I assume she had a great time but they did say she was a bit wobbly in the morning as she kept saying she missed me! She starts swimming there in 2 weeks and that’s her favourite so I think once she starts that she will be absolutely fine! X

Mom guilt never goes away but the preschool will get better!

Trust me the mum guilt will soon disappear 🤣🤣

Oh my goodness I’m not quite at preschool age yet but I have had to start thinking about it… I think I wouldn’t be able to handle my son telling me that it isn’t as fun as being home 🥺😢 However, I think it’s good for them to experience that kind of thing and start learning to be apart from us. As a sahm I think we start to become codependent on our kids too so it’s as hard or harder for us to let them go I think. I hope it gets easier for you

I still get mum guilt and my daughter has been at nursery since April 2023. I am working though so she has to be, I just miss her a lot and I feel like the time we have before nursery is so rushed and by the time we get home we just eat and sleep.
