Introducing bottles

I EBF both my girls until they were both 1. They both refused to take a bottle. I’m currently EBF my son, who’s 3 weeks old and we would like to introduce a bottle so my husband and daughters can feed him too. Any tips on when is best to do this and any bottles that have been more successful for breastfed baby? I’m also expressing but considering using formula to make life a bit easier (not spend my time expressing) - would love to hear others experiences and what worked best? Thank you!

Any time probably sooner the better. We used dr browns glass with a P nipple. Slower flow helps mimic boob speed. She took them ok until about 7m old then we went EBF.

Have husband and kids feed her with the bottles too. Maybe have you in another room helps too.

Depending on your flow, you can choose different nipples. My LG is fine on philis one or mam bottles. You just have to try and see which suits her best

Do it asap, we used nanobebe which were great.

Our health visitor said to introduce a bottle no later than 6-8 weeks old. We’ve been using the MAM bottles and they’re great, she latches on and takes 3-4oz of expressed milk fine. She’s a month old now and we introduced a bottle last week.

Thank you everyone! 🥰
