Diaper bag

Hey mamas! What are some things you pack in your diaper bag you think are necessary? My son is 5 weeks old and we’re starting to get back into going out and doing things. I always feel so unprepared lol. I really only have diapers, wipes, extra clothes, blanket, burp rag, bottles, lotion…that’s about it! Please help 😂

Pacifier holder with a paci and clip. Possibly a bib, mittens, socks. I like to keep a mini first aid kit but I’ve never needed it. I keep mini bags for diapers or dirty clothes! Weather appropriate hat.

Typically I like to always have 3-5 diapers, a pack of wipes, and atleast one onesie and pants. That’s just the bare minimum, but the burp clothes are also essential for little babies. If you use formula I just take the whole can and a water bottle! I don’t divide it out

Make sure you also have an extra shirt for yourself! Signed, a mom who's baby has reflux

Maybe also a teether or toy to keep them distracted/ hands busy

I haven't had her yet but I'll have -wipes -diapers -muslin -extra outfit for her -extra shirt for me -butt cream -paci

I have what you have, but I also added a gallon zip lock bag as a just in case to put any dirty clothes in. We have actually had to use it, had a blowout in the car seat on the way to his monthly pediatrician appointment. But it helped keep the bag and other items from getting dirty! I’ve seen others also pack doggie poop bags for the same thing and/or dirty diapers in case you don’t have a trash can near by. One other thing is I have hand sanitizer and antibacterial wipes in ours.

Wet bags otherwise known as dry bags for dirty clothes/nappies. I also have a portable change mat as extra protection from public ones and a bluey (puppy pads) in case of accident during change

i usually just take a few nappies, wipes, bottles and milk if we're going somewhere in the car and then have a spare outfit in the car, if i go on a bus or walking i put the spare outfit in the bag and then put that under the pram with a blanket and a spare jacket for baby
