Pumped milk

Hi everyone, I’m BF and giving my Lo a bottle with breast milk in once or twice a day. I’ve been following the 6/6/6 method, but I’m finding that my milk after 2/3 days in the fridge isn’t smelling very nice, but I’m unsure if it’s spoiled or if just how it smells, she still takes it in the bottle without fuss and doesn’t seem to be unwell from it. Has anyone else experienced this, I don’t want to be accidentally giving my baby bad milk but I also don’t want to waste milk if it’s just how it smells.

How soon are you putting the milk in the fridge after pumping? Also I’ve always heard 4/4/4 not 6/6/6 🤔 I might need to do some more research

@Samantha it’s definitely 4/4/4

Well this is where things might be going wrong then, I was told by my midwife 6 hours at room temperature, 6 days in the fridge and 6 months in the freezer (at certain temperatures), looking a leaflet that my local hospital provides they say 6/3/6 so seems there lots of different information so think I just need to work out what’s correct for me and my milk …
