It’s official I’m at a breaking point 😣

Thanks to my Obgyn always making comments about my weight and how I’m only allowed to gain 20 pounds or less….I literally am struggling so hard. Due to multiple issues we finally switched to another Obgyn which she’s awesome but at my last ultrasound at 32 weeks…..they said my baby is below weight by a week…..so I have been trying so hard to eat better but it’s been rough. Adding on the stress of living through 2 hurricanes back to back and so much more it’s been horrible. My stupidity this Monday I decided when I was out at dinner to have pink lemonade and had some sweet and sour sour on my rice….ya little man didn’t enjoy that and decided to give me a heart attack by me having contractions for over an hour so went to the emergency room ( ya we in another town due to being Evacuated from the hurricane and I’m only 34 weeks pregnant) guess my son has a sense of humor since this was the same day we bought the car seat lol….come to find out at the hospital many hours later it was the red dye that made him upset and he’s ok. Now they did an ultrasound and he’s now a week and a half ahead of how big he should be. I literally can’t win…..I feel like I just can’t do anything right.

Just know those ultrasounds aren’t always correct. They can vary a lot. But I’m glad that you’re definitely trying to eat healthy and all that

Hey mama, sorry to hear so much is going on for you, what an awful obgyn to say something like that :( your doing amazing and going through 2 hurricanes and everything else, don’t forget how great your doing and not to let someone else’s poor choice of words distract you from remembering your about to be the best mom your son could ever ask for 💕

@Gabrielle ya it’s just hard when it’s my first pregnancy and I’m scared because I was a 10 pound baby 😂

Yeah I get that haha. My son was 10lbs 6oz. Haha. I was tiny my husband was big so I thought he’d be somewhat big. Not that big lol. My daughter was still above average but at 8lbs 3oz

@Hailey thank you. I literally just have no fight left in me, it’s just between my husband’s grandmother passing away in September, my grandmother is in the hospital with congestive heart failure, and dealing with his ex and the court battle that we are about to have to start….while being pregnant I literally can’t deal with anymore

I think you’re doing fine, Mom 💙🩵 the ultrasounds are only meant to be a guide, they’re not usually as accurate as the tech says. You’re doing great! Especially with those stressors, do what you can to take care of yourself—but have that lemonade and sweet and sour in moderation. I was induced at 38 weeks because my son had FGR and I developed hypertension and started showing mild preeclampsia. The tech said my son was 6lb8oz measuring small 8th percentile and they wanted to get him out. He came out actually 5lb11oz. They were off by half a pound. He is now almost 7 weeks and he is perfectly healthy and thriving—yes, he’s smaller, but he’s hitting his growth goals from our pediatrician and she said there’s nothing to worry about. Don’t let anybody get in your head, even the doctors. You’re literally growing a human! You’re doing great! Just keep watching cues from baby and question anything that feels off. Baby and your body will take care of the rest 💙🩵

The ultrasounds are often wrong. I was told my son was big, but he was born tinier than anyone thought, and everyone was shocked. He was 2.29kg at 37.6 weeks. You are not doing anything wrong, please give yourself grace.

I wouldn't worry too much. They estimated my son was gona be 10lbs + so booked me in to be induced he was 8lb 6oz when he was born. Just take care of yourself, don't let people get in your head. Ur doing a great job!

Im sorry you had to deal with that. Im a bigger women and almost lost my son and my life because they wouldnt believe me that my BP was high due to pregnancy not fatness. Trust yourself, sizes can vary by week, they arent always accurate and you can gain however much without it being unhealthy unless you have gestational diabetes. my son was born premature but was 7lbs because of gestational diabetes

Being obese, I was allowed 15lbs to gain during the pregnancy max. I only gained 11 and it was in the third trimester. I ate what I wanted. I didn’t stress it. I was never hungry so when I was in the mood to eat, my husband didn’t care what it was. He was happy I was eating. The ultrasounds are not accurate. My baby measured around 6-6.5 lbs at my 37 week appointment and was born 7lbs 1oz at 40wk 6d. Don’t listen to the negativity and don’t get caught up in it. You’re doing great

The ultrasounds are accurate less than 50% of the time, it really doesn't matter.
