Ultrasounds can be 2 pounds off, it’s not always accurate

I’m 31 weeks 5 days & had an ultrasound today & baby is weighing 4 lbs. they told me that’s perfect & she’s right on track in the 50th percentile so very average size. Also keep in mind ultrasounds are not always completely accurate for weight. With my 1st pregnancy they told me my son was going to be well over 8 lbs & he was 7 lbs 3 oz.

I was 31 weeks n 2 days yesterday n I had my ultrasound and the ultrasound tech said my boy was weighing around 5 lbs! She didn't say anything about it and I won't talk to my doctor till my appointment next Thursday. Apparently to my mom that's small igz even tho ik to most it's bigger than average. But im not worried about it. Maybe it's because i don't mind if i have a big baby. the only thing is ik he was heavy from how much pressure he puts on my pelvis, im always in pain basically! I just don't hope i have to give birth early.

@Meagan my ob told me he is big he is in 77% percentile, I think I have to only think about the ultrasound not 100% accurate to have some relief

Mine was 3lb 5oz (88%) at 28 weeks so 4 lbs doesn't sound too big for 3 weeks bigger than that. But also, my first measured around 60th percentile around that time and she was a 9lb baby so definitely agree with others saying the ultrasound can always be off!

I’m 32 weeks and 4 days now and Tuesday my son measured at 5lbs 2 oz. They told me he is in 80th percentile and on the verge of being big but he is not big yet.

Uhg my doc said my baby is big too and I feel the same anxiety But this is my second baby and I wish someone would have told me this first time around: 1. Ultrasounds can be soo off (It was over 2 lbs off with my first) 2. You’re body was made to birth your baby! Birth will happen, good experience or bad, you will get to the other side and it will just be part of your story!
