Is it mostly the mindset or it’s our instincts cos u really can’t feel baby move like before? Do they sleep?? Is it what halts movement or what exactly or it’s my imagination??😂😂😂

Baby's movements should not reduce in late pregnancy. I'm not really sure what you're asking.

Baby movements have reduced I don’t feel baby move as much as before should I ring triage??

Yes you should ring triage.

I often think this! I’ve only ever rang triage once for reduced movements, but I am convinced my baby just has sleepier days sometimes. Always ring if you are concerned, when I went for reduced movements the midwife said “movements shouldn’t stop, but might change as the baby descends into the pelvis”, but encouraged me to call triage if I am concerned or noticed a big change 😊

I had this yesterday and I went in for a check up. I tried all the tricks in the book before hand but he wasn't doing a lot. Everything was fine but deffo put my mind at ease

I've been a few times to monitor my baby after reduced movements and nearly went yesterday...it seems to be his pattern to disappear for a day. My Husband came home from work early with the plan to go if we couldn't find him by then - of course, he'll move when he hears/feels him!!! Had me worried sick as I hadn't felt him all morning. I think he turns away so I can't feel him sometimes. But call if you're worried!!!

They do sleep but movements shouldn't reduce

No matter what people will say, babies definitely either have quieter days, or you feel then less depending on their position. That isn't to say you shouldn't get it checked out if you're in any doubt over what's normal for you x

@Katie I completely agree, 100% my baby is just sleepier sometimes - though wouldn’t want to prevent anyone calling triage! The only time I’ve ever been for reduced movements is because my midwife put such a fear into me about it - everything ended up fine. They just worry because the worst case scenario is THE worst! X
