Vitamins/ Probiotics

Does anyone give their little ones vitamins/probiotics? If so, what ones? My little one is 9.5 months.

We give the healthy start ones free from the HV. My boy is breastfed so he only needs vitamin D as he gets everything else from me and bm is high in probiotics. If you are formula feeding then they should get all they need from that. They shouldn’t need probiotics unless they have gut issues. There are lots of foods you can give them that encourage good gut health without needing to spend ££££ on probiotics.

I breastfeed so we have to give baby vitamin D and then she has a probiotic (optibac) for digestion as she struggled previously with constipation

@Emma did the probiotics help with constipation? Im struggling with his with my LO, I’ve tried everything to get him regular but he doesn’t even eat solids regularly 😩

We express feed and have vitamin D until 6 months. Then we give the free healthy start vitamins from then. We use probiotics as well as then my seem to help with our girls digestion since starting food. She's still only small and doesn't eat alot. But we found by bed time bottle she seems in pain in her tummy and struggle getting wind up. Probiotics helped with this. But they are expensive x

@Gabbie I think they do. We also give her half a Wheatabix with prune puree for breakfast and stay away from sweet potato and bananas. My HV said to feed regularly (as we weren’t as I thought at first it was making her worse) to get the gut used to solids and processing food. Only occasionally now she’ll be constipated and it’s usually to do with what we’ve fed her
