Dr gave me a script the first time she got it about 6 months ago. Second time I couldn’t get into a dr and it was BAD so I just told the chemist she was 3 and got some over the counter. I understand the reasons why they think under 2 needs to be seen by a GP but getting in to see one in a timely manner these days is impossible! It was absolutely a last ditch effort thing. I tried every drs surgery around me before I was like fuck it! Different chemist, left her at home with Dad and went in and said my 3yr old has conjunctivitis can I get some eyedrops and they just handed them over no drama.
Go into the chemist without bub, say it's for your hubby then you can buy them over the counter. The nurse at my GP told me to do this.
You can also get an ointment version of the drops that we put on bub's eyes before naps and bedtime
Thanks everyone. Gunna go ask another chemist and say its for my 15 yr old . Crazy to have to lie but hoping it works
