When did you leave your EBF babies?

I’d like to go for some drinks in the New Year with some friends - just for the afternoon. But I’d like to have a good few drinks so wouldn’t be able to feed until the morning. What age were you able to do this with EBF babies? I was hoping to be able to pump and this be given in a straw cup maybe so he doesn’t miss a feed? Not sure if this is realistic which is why I was hoping for people’s experiences. My little one is 6 months now so I know we’re a little while off. Just wanted to hear everyone’s experiences! It’s hard to have a life with an EBF baby (not that I’d swap it for the world)!

Hii firstly I completely agree it is difficult to have a life with a EBF baby, although I agree I wouldn’t change it for anything! The struggle is real lol. Feel free to message me i can share my experience, my girl is 8 months and EBF xx

Hi lovely! When you say you won’t be able to feed until morning, is this because of the timing or because you’ll be drinking and don’t want to feed? Xx

I’ll be home by dinner time, I was hoping to do his lunch feed - disappear for the afternoon and then be home that evening but it might be later than his bed time. I just don’t want to have to think about how much I’m drinking, I’ll have one or two and still feed at the moment but we’re wanting to do a bottomless brunch. I’m just not sure what age would be realistic at the moment. He’s 6 months so I’m still very much his main food source and he uses me to go to sleep x

Probably when she’s done breastfeeding😅 she’s 13 months🥴

My baby is 8mo and ebf, I’m about to be away from her for 6 hours for the first time. My plan is to do the morning routine (bf, solids, bf, nap) and then leave home at 11.30am. While I’m gone, I’ll be at a birthday meal eating and drinking but I’ll have max 2 drinks. I’ll be home about 5.30pm when I’ll do evening routine (bf, solids, bf, bed). I won’t drink more than 2 drinks as I know I still need to bf her in the evening and throughout the night. X

If you can find your baby, you can feed your baby! So as long as you’re not black out drunk/violently throwing up/passing out, the alcohol in your milk (however much) will not affect your baby! Xxx

I left my ebf daughter for a weekend when she was 11 months We give milk in a tum tum weighted straw cup, get baby used to it early with water and it'll pay off
