We used coleif drops as advised by the GP and it did help us. It’s horrible to see them struggling because of the constipation but it does get better as their digestive system develops. Hope you get it sorted
Visit the GP- as they may prescribe Movicol sachets
I love you massage(YouTube) helped us a bit, also try to keep them upright for some time.
I know really dreading this again. Until their stomachs mature a bit not much can really help. X
Is baby on formula or breastfed? I remember some other mums saying they had to swap formula brands until they found one that their baby was happier with (and pooing more regularly!).
@Charley he is constantly straining for a poo and crying/ wailing as he’s straining but it doesn’t always result in a poo
@Jade could be infant dyschezia rather than constipation, what do his poos look like when they do come?
@Charley hello, they are actually soft when they come out! This is why it’s so confusing!
@Jade are they formed soft, like with a clear outline like clay? Or runny? Because if it's runny/liquid then I'd be inclined to say not constipated, could be dyschezia or could just be baby grunting!
What symptoms are leading you to believe he's constipated?
