Why does no one talk about how traumatic every fall is?!!!!

My child has just started walking and falls constantly!!! It gives me a heart attack every single time and today he bumped his head. I’ve baby proofed best I can but he will literally run into the wall, faceplant the floor out of nowhere, ect. Anyone else just constantly anxious or have a wild child that is pretty accident prone? Looking for solidarity

I have red carpet, so it’s not so bad. My mom has hardwood floors. Yesterday my daughter was at her grandmas and I was there. My daughter had just got her vaccines, so she was wobbly. She was also wearing socks that made her slip when she tried to stand. She slips and hit her head. We took her socks off. Then checked on her head. It did make my heart jump. But she was alright. She cried for like 5 seconds. Then she was off playing again.

@Raimee I have like those soft mat floor things but I can’t cover all areas of my house with that and I feel like he falls so often. He also is so new to walking but thinks he can run lol literally will go full speed into a fall.

My daughter hasn’t quite mastered walking yet. She can stand and use furniture to walk. But when she stands she isn’t sure what to do next. So I’m not at exactly at the same stage. But I am nervous about when she starts running around. My house is not fully baby proofed. The way my apartment is designed there isn’t a way to put a baby gate where the kitchen is. I’m a first time mom. So I’m just trying to figure it out along the way.

@Raimee totally understand! I have a weird layout house as well. No matter what, babies will fall and get hurt. They will get into stuff. You could baby proof to padded cell level and it will still happen. I know that’s not comforting but just know you aren’t alone haha My baby literally face planted while I was playing right next to him and it was as if wind blew him over haha solidarity

I completely understand! My son is almost 2 months into walking and hes no master yet but truly thinks he can run and when he tries he falls. Yesterday he tripped in the backyard over some tree roots and scraped his finger. He cried and he was a bit sensitive for the day but once he stopped crying he was back to running😭 its normal for them to fall and crash a lot since theyre still learning balance and how to turn. My son is very clumsy and falls all the time but just gets back up and keeps going
