Breast feeding

Hi girls not sure what to do! I am EBF and don’t want to introduce bottles untill 6 weeks to make sure breast feeding is fully established etc! However I am desperately needing to go to the dentist as my tooth cracked in half and starting to get slightly agitated ( went before baby was born but couldn’t do anything as we didn’t risk a scan) any advice do I just wait another 4 weeks (she is 2 weeks) or should I go and take her with me and my partner come with me? Has anyone had to leave their baby for an hour or more while EBF??

Hey! So sorry your tooth is agitated, that sounds so painful! When my baby was 4 weeks I left her to go to the dentist. I was gone for about 1 hour 15 mins, and gave my baby a really big feed before I left. She was fine mostly at home with my partner but did start to fuss around 45 minutes and then was pretty upset at about an hour Maybe bringing your baby and partner with you would be a good shout, just so you’re not worried. Maybe you could speak to the dentist reception and explain the situation

I had the dentist when my son was 4 weeks old. I fed him before the dentist and my partner just drove him around.

Tire her out with tummy time or by making noises/stimulating her (might not be possible if she’s only 2 weeks) then big big feed beforehand literally as much milk as you can get her to drink then wrap her up warm and put her to sleep and leave her with your husband all warm and snuggly, you should be able to get a couple hours then :)

I took LO with me and hubby came too x
