Combi feeding advice

What bottles & teats are you using if you are pumping / formula feeding AND breastfeeding? (And how old is your baby) Going to start pumping and bottle feeding soon at around 5/6 weeks, what would people recommend? Thanks! X

I’m breastfeeding our 3 week old and just introduced some formula for top ups because she can’t feed efficiently at the moment. We are using mam bottles and size 0 teat and she’s taking to it really well. The infant feeding team suggested we avoid tommee tippee. You want something that most replicates a nipple to help avoid confusion

I tried Tommy tippee advanced anti colic bottles after 3 weeks EBF and my baby took that one first time with no issues with size 1 (which I believe is the slowest) teat but unfortunately it’s not one size fits all for babies and some people have to experiment to find what works for theirs

And she also goes back to the breast no problem but like I say not al babies are the same unfortunately

I’ve tried dr brown’s, mam, nuk, tommy tippee and a preemie/0 teat, after using a 1 teat but my boy was spitting lots as he is a fast eater despite pausing him, burping him in between etc. the mam bottles with preemie have worked the best for us. The second best is dr browns, the glass one tho.

We use MAM bottles size 1 (5 weeks) and haven’t had an problems so far xx

Mine wouldn’t take the tommee tippee bottles when we transitions to pumping and bottle but the mam bottles are perfect. Have a look on Vinted as there are plenty new bottles being sold fully boxed up for half the price of the big supermarkets etc x

I combie feed little one 16 days today and we use the tommee tipee bottles size 1

I breast feed and give expressed breast milk in a bottle, started with mam bottles that little boy didn’t get on with at all, we now use the Phillip avent bottles and he’s like a different baby!

I use mam bottle and a manual mam pump
