Movements come and go

I can feel baby moving but its still really inconsistent. Is that normal at this stage (19 weeks)? Sometimes kicks are really noticeable and feel firm (for a tiny baby) and other times they are super faint and i have to r really focus to feel. Sometimes i don’t feel her at all day and i get worried that the movements are reduced . But because the movements are still inconsistent, i don’t know if it counts ad reduced movements. At what point should i be worrying and calling my midwife?

Completely normal my love. You won't have a consistent movement until around 24 weeks x

I'm 19 weeks and exactly the same. I find it's more active at night, during the day just think I'm busy so don't notice it as much. Was the same in first pregnancy, think it also depends on the position of the baby as there's lots of room in there.

I'm 18 and half weeks I'm exactly the same - I did have a midwife app a weeks ago she asked me if I had felt movement which I said yes but inconsistent and she said start monitoring it now which is contradictory to nhs advice/guidelines as it is still early so that confused me. I'm trusting my gut tbh somedays I feel the slightest swooshes and think is this all in my head then the next day its clear tapping little kicks.

Thank you all that is really reassuring!

Mine are inconsistent but starting to get more noticeable when eating and drinking. I also notice them when i brush my teeth with my electric toothbrush 🤣(19 weeks)

Yes! Mine moves at night only really

I’m 19weeks 3 days and still felt no movement. Starting to feel worried!! Got my 20 week scan next Tuesday but wish it was sooner!

I am 20w 2d and same- I would say I feel her only when I am still- I had my 20w scan yest and my placenta is at the back and Dr said that would be thats why you feel less movement with anterior placenta. Dont worry it should pick up a lot in next 4 weeks or so I already feel her so much more than last week. xxx

@Jen it is meant to be common to not feel anything until 22 weeks and even later if its your first! I understand your feelings but not long until the scan, i’m sure you’ll see little one wiggling round!
